Southward Ho!

Invaders from the deep south are attempting to reverse the trend of travellers by exhorting them to go south for a holiday. The Southern Lakes Tourist Mission visited Gisborne on a promotion deal recently and if their personalities were indicative of South Islanders as a whole then the southern lakes would be a most hospitable place to visit. Of course they were carried away by all we have to offer, especially the view from Kaiti lookout. Beside their colourful vehicle are Carl and Janette Stallman, Te Anau, Ed Tinker, also Te Anau, Eleanor Everist and Jane Deans, Queenstown, and Harold Jacobs, chief ranger of Fiord National Park.
