Efforts Rewarded

The Intellectually Handicapped Children Society's new hostel in Albert Street was opened on Saturday, June 28, by the national president of the society, Dr D. Beasley.

The hostel is the result of ten years of hard effort on the part of the society, and is the biggest local project undertaken on public subscription.

The hostel will be used to accommodate people who would not otherwise be able to attend the Kahutia School or the Donnelly Training Centre.
