Cups Awarded
Trophies won during the season were presented at a prizegiving function held recently by the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club. Club president Graham Thomas officiated.
Premier trophy of the season, the club rosebowl for the most points gained during the season, went to Roydon Owen. He also won the Geddes and Murray trophy for gaining the most points in championship events. President Graham Thomas is seen presenting the rosebowl.
Club secretary, Kath Thomas (right), was presented with a bouquet by Marie Hoggins in appreciation of her hard work during the year.
Other trophy winners as well as Royden Owen (left) were Gordon Fraser (Les Barker Rosebowl), John Jamieson (most points colts), Howard Healey (Martin Trophy, Pat Boot Cup), Teddy Normanton (Black and White Cup).
