Haere Ra Hori!

Yes folks, this is goodbye to Hori who is leaving the Coast to take up residence in Palmerston North. This is the last of the pages contributed by him.

Taken in 1921 was this group at Tolaga. The first on left is Rawere Kutia and the third from left is Julian Thompson. Kutia played for East Coast (Tairawhiti), and Thompson for Taitokearau. The boys, who are cousins, both played in the first Prince of Wales Cup match held in Gisborne.

Taken in 1928 this picture shows the first intake of the first carpentary school formed in Rotorua in 1928. Second from right in the back row is Julian Thompson. He learned his rugby at Te Aute College along with Hamiora Hooper, Rotorua who was To Aute 1st XV captain.
