One of the highlights of the 2NZEF Association's annual fancy dress party, this year in the Amy Hall, was the appearance of a thing called The Thing, which emerged from a mystery box, in the centre of the hall at the height of festivities. Close view (above, left) was rather frightening. Turned round (above, right), the effect was much the same, but bore some resemblances to Mrs F. Single.
