A Cast of Thousands

Well, almost a cast of thousands took part in the Mangapapa School's "The Litter-est Story Ever Told". All the pupils engaged in the living story which was told to a large audience of parents and friends. The dangers of litter being left about were well demonstrated. A synopsis follows.

Litter bugs get into rubbish containers and that sort of thing and throw litter everywhere.

×

These are litter eaters and they have a hard time keeping places clean.

These are pieces of litter that make places untidy.

×

More litter in the shape of empty cartons and boxes. At the right is a litter devil.

Broken glass is the very worst form of litter and causes serious injury

×

Cut feet are also caused by broken glass. Do not break bottles and glass.

Bad cuts need hospital attention. Ambulance men put the boy on a stretcher.

Let us keep faith with this motto! Keep Gisborne clean.
