An outstanding crop of Rua potatoes came from a small backyard garden in the city recently. From a potato plot measuring 18 feet by 12 feet came a total yield of 6201bs. This represents 55 tons to the acre. Twenty pounds of four ounce certified seed was planted and this produced 80 plants in four-and-a-half rows in the plot. Not bad for this neck of the woods!
