The new sub-division off Mary Street in upper Mangapapa is almost completed, with roads, kerbing and channelling all being formed.

After being part of the Gisborne scene for more than eighty years the building on the corner of Gladstone Road and Derby Street, formerly occupied by Muirhead Cycles, was recently demolished. Unsuitable for alterations after the 1966 earthquake, the building and site were purchased by the Dominion Life Assurance Co.
