Last Legs

Now on its last legs is the old Derby Street bridge. A new bridge will be built to replace it. Here the old structure is down to its piles while alongside filling is being placed for the approaches to the new bridge which will be 150 feet long, having five spans of 30 feet. It will have cycle and pedestrian tracks, and be clear of high water by 5' 6". Completion is planned for the end of July.
