Colourful Show
The National Dahlia Show, held in the Y.M.C.A. stadium, presented a bright but restrained scene of colour this year. A trend towards more pastel shades in the blooms was noticeable.
Champion award went to Mr J. F. Holley's Pat Ericson, a medium iecorative.
A punga summerhouse at the Garden Centre display was used to good effect.
Three blooms of Cameo Cream won the decorative premier for Mrs G. C. Utting
Mr R. C. A. Tombleson's Tutira won a champion award
"Variety is the Spice of Life" won Class 122 for Mrs E. Gibson.
