Diamond Jubilee

The first Cub groups were formed 60 years ago, and to celebrate, Cubs from Wairoa and as far away as Tikitiki gathered at the Showgrounds for various activities and demonstrations to mark the occasion.

The Ruatoria Cubs welcomed the Cubs and leaders to the day.

Wrestling, boxing, sheepdog trials, dog handling and obedience were just a few of the activities viewed by the Cubs as well as many static displays.
