Great was the excitement early one morning when Craig Stupples of Bloomfield Road hooked this giant kingfish at the cut and played it all the way to Midway beach before landing it. Phillip Stupples, 10, and Trevor Cameron, 15, give Craig, 12, a hand to display the fish.
Ellies Harrison (left) and Bruce Eraser, both of Ngatapa, caught this extra large Matamoe eel out there in the never-nevers!. It was 4½ feet long and took the two boys to hold it!
