Around The Schools

From two of the country schools we have some news with which to start off the year.

From Mr Terry Morrison, headmaster of the Waipiro Bay Maori School, come these two pictures. A new learners' swimming pool was opened recently by Mr D. B. Williams. Valued at $3,748, the pool measures 45ft by 15ft and represents a total of 1,030 working hours. The pool was started in October, 1967, and completed late last year. A fine effort on the part of a small community.
