Turanganui Tennis Club
Players of all ages and abilities attended the opening of the Turanganui tennis season.
Members of the committee who were present are Norm Ward, Don Adams (president), Mrs Ngaire Jones (secretary), Brian Gibson (treasurer) and Mrs Betty Hazelwood.
A sad occasion was the retirement of Neville Turnbull who has been president for 15 years, first for the combined Gisborne and Metropolitan Club and then for the Turanganui Club. Neville is pictured with his wife, Ida, and the gifts they received from the club.
