Savings Week

Several displays in the Commercial and Post Office Savings Banks were on show during Savings Week. They showed what could be had for the effort of saving, from sports equipment to cars.

The Post Office conducted a "savings" essay competition for school children.. This was in two sections and carried substantial prizes. Over 300 entries were received for the competition.
