Scout and Cub News

A party of 22 Te-o-Tane (Wairoa) Cubs toured Gisborne with the Tainui Cub Pack (Turanga District).

The Venturer Scouts in the newly formed Wai-Te-Ata Scout Unit are some of the first to wear the new uniform, which consists of khaki long pants and shirt, maroon tie and beret. They are, back row: Gray Clapham, Mark Ogilvie, Brian Goodall, Tony MacKevics and Raymond Goodall. Front row: John Cousins, John Bennett, Basil Mann and Alan Scholes.

Other Scouts from the Waiteata Pack were, back row: Trevor Findsen, Mark Cousins, Bernard Bottrill, Paul McGrannaghan, Peter Seymour and Gavin Lees. Front row: Tommy Recter, Nigel Lees and Ian Goodall. Kelvin Cubs and Scouts held a 15-mile bike rally as part of the 60th Scout Jubilee.
