Hot Conditions for Harriers

Hot conditions, especially in the hills, made the Wairoa to Gisborne harrier relaya race a little harrowing for the runners.

The Whakatane A team came out on top at the finish to win from Putaruru and Gisborne.

After a strenuous run from Muriwai to the roundabout Denis Marshall-Inman of the Putaruru team found the conditions too much and had to be helped from the road.
