Perfect in almost every detail, this model of Captain Cook's Endeavour was given to Jaycees recently by Mr Guy Smith to do with what they thought fit. The Jaycees presented it to the library where it will be kept on display. President John Jennings hands over the model to the chairman of the library committee, the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, and the librarian, Miss R. S. Mackay.

Jaycees who went to Napier for the Poverty Bay-Hawke's Bay Ranfurly Shield game all voted the whole venture a great day.
