Mr and Mrs Reg Kelly, 210 Kahutia Street, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married in England in 1918 and came to New Zealand in 1920. After living in Palmerston North they came to Gisborne in 1934 Mr Kelly had the store known as Kelly's Corner in Te Hapara for 23 years before retiring.
