Queen Carnival Candidates

A queen carnival is being held to raise funds for the Poverty Bay Women's Hockey Association. There are three candidates and each one, and her committee, has been working hard with dances, jumble stalls, raffles, rugby matches, barbeques, paper and bottle collections, card evenings and even selling firewood.

Horoua was leading in the money raising stakes at the time of going to press but the others are not far behind.
