Poverty Bay's Solid Win
Poverty Bay defeated Central Hawkes Bay in the inter-provincial hockey match held at the Harry Barker Reserve. A solid victory of six-nil went to the home team. The goals were all taken in the first half and what could have been an even more exciting second half was spoilt by the heavy rain which eventuated.
