The Gisborne Savages were "raided" recently by the Paeroa Orphans' Club. The Orphans were greeted in the afternoon at the Kaiti Hall where a haka was performed in their honour.

Maurice Edwards of 29 Perry Street recently took part in the St. John district eliminations for the New Zealand championships which were held in Napier, competing in home nursing, first aid, hygiene and general inspection. Maurice gained second place.
