Fire Brigade Competition

Members of the Tolaga Bay, Ruatoria, Tikitiki, Te Karaka and Manutuke fire brigades held a series of competitions at Ruatoria recently for the first time.

The overall winners were Te Karaka, with the Tolaga Bay team the runners-up.

So successful was the event that it is proposed to have a further competition at Tolaga Bay in November with brigades from Wairoa to East Cape taking part.
