On his way back to the United States after spending the past year in Gisborne on the Rotary Student Exchange scheme is Jimmy Atkinson. Before his departure Jimmy was presented with a book as a reminder of his stay in this city. Rotary president Mr A. H. De-Costa (left) and Rotary secretary, Mr J. Steven made the presentation.

Graeme and Pauline Bound and daughter Lisa-Maree, 95 Ormond Road, have gone to Hastings. Graeme, who works for the Hannah Shoe Company, has been promoted to the Hastings branch.

Ross Glover, son of Mr and Mrs F. S. Glover, Valley Road, sailed on the Canberra on June 29 for an overseas trip. Ross has gone to the United States and Canada and expects to be away approximately two years.

Miss G. E. Clifford-Jones, who retired recently from the position of nursing inspector with the Department of Health, has left on a three months overseas tour. During her tour Miss Clifford-Jones will attend the International Congress of Business and Professional Women in London as one of the six New Zealand delegates, and also spend some time at New Delhi in India where, in 1951, she was responsible for setting up the first training course for public health nurses in India.
