The bus shelter at the corner of Wi Pere Street and Ormond Road was the centre of attraction recently when these giant birds mistook it for a birdbath. However, as it was a Sunday when they arrived they were left undisturbed. But it was a different story on the following Monday when they were summarily dealt with. Pity!

From Mrs Benita Honey, an ex-Gisbornite, comes this shot of herself and son Christopher. She has. been working in Blenheim recently but leaves shortly for a three year working holiday in Australia with Christopher.

David Garrett, 10, of 252 Stout Street, found this giant puff-ball and came into our office to show us and have his picture took. The puff-ball measured 27 inches in circumference.
