Coming and Goings

A farewell function at Ulverstone took place recently to mark the retirement of Mr G. R. Fookes as manager of the Bank of New South Wales. After six years in Gisborne, Mr and Mrs Fookes will go to live in Tauranga. Those who made speeches and presentations at the function are included in the picture and they are, from left, Mr R. I. Lamberg (Wairoa), Mr T. Wynn-Parke (assistant manager), Mrs Fookes, Mr Fookes, Miss J. Russell, and Mr E. C. Tait (Wellington, and chief manager for New Zealand).

Kevin Rounthwaite, manager of Camera House for the past 15 months, has been transferred to Auckland. He goes to the main Camera House store in Queen Street as assistant manager.

Pictured with his wife is the new manager of the Bank of New South Wales, Mr S. J. Maxwell, who comes from Whangarei.

Doug Coward, 20 Churchill Crescent, leaves Gisborne after four years as the manager of the Regent theatre to go to Auckland where he will manage the St. James theatre. He is pictured with his wife Yvonne, daughter Sonja and son Lance.

Russ and Wilma Chapman with young daughter Joy have come down from Whangarei to manage the Regent theatre in the interim. Russ has been managing the Plaza theatre in Whangarei which at the moment is undergoing extensive alterations.
