Records Smashed
Six new records were created in the eight events of the Holden Hill Climb conducted by the Car Club recently over the 7/10ths of a mile course.
One of the premier events on the club's calendar, the climb gave members and spectators alike a day of great driving by the owners and five performances by the cars.
Terry Johnstone at the wheel of the "Satellite" during his record-breaking run of 48.5sec.
Jay Scammell recorded the fastest time ever, 49sec, for a saloon car, in this Morris Cooper "S".
This Falcon, piloted by Denis Willson, created a new record in its class - 54.8sec.
A record also, of 52.2sec, for Bruce Green in his Anglia
Steve Clare (R.A.S. Special) won his class
