The Big Lift

A big lift carried out a few months back was that of Mr T. W. Parker's house at Makauri. The original house was lifted, turned round, and placed on a steel framed lower storey designed by structural engineer Keith Thompson.

Building and alterations have now been completed giving living quarters upstairs, with magnificent views of the Gisborne flats, and carports and extra rooms downstairs.
