Te Karaka St. John news

A public function was held at Te Karaka recently to inaugurate the Te Karaka Volunteer Ambulance Service for the Waikohu area, and to present St. John first aid certificates to those who recently passed their examinations.

Visiting officials included Dr B. Kahlenberg, Gisborne, Miss Peed, Napier (district superintendent of the nursing brigade), and Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P., and Mr H. D. Taylor (district commissioner), who presented the certificates and warrants to the recipients.
