Contributing Schools' Swimming Sports

The scene at the Central School Baths was one of much excitement on Saturday, March 9, when the first contributing schools' swimming sports were held. Under ideal conditions some good times were recorded to the encouragement from both pupils and parents.

Winners of the boys interschool relay was the Te Karaka team of Chris Hollamby, Darryl Walden, Tipi Ruru and David Ward.

The winners of the girls' interschool relay also came from Te Karaka and the team is Rebekah Walker, Debbie Berdinner, Sandra Newman and Bronwyn Hood.
