Where Are They Now?

Jan McConnell and Laurel Kirkham are in Plymouth, England, working as nurses at the local hospital.
Former Cook Hospital nurses, they are the daughters of Mr and Mrs G. McConnell, Kowhai Street, and Mr and Mrs D. Kirkham, Ruatoria. They left New Zealand last December and have toured England, Wales and Scotland, and Spain and France in a van they purchased after arrival. They spent six months doing a theatre course in Bristol and have plans to make another trip to the Continent in the near future. They expect to return to Gisborne in about a year's time.
