Gaining much good advice and the benefit of professional experience from Mrs Pat Woodford, the children of standard four of the Te Wharau school excelled themselves when they put on three one-act plays produced by Mrs Woodford. Staged twice at the school the plays drew capacity audiences. The whole gamut, from acting to all phases of backstage work, was experienced by the children. The most notable thing about the venture was the donation by the children of the profits to Intellectually handicapped Children's Society.
