....Barry Hamblyn, who lives with his wife and five sons at 95 Chalmers Road. A permanent driver with the St. John Ambulance Association, Barry averages 62 hours per week of active duty, and is on call virtually 24 hours per day. With commitments such as this, he has little spare time, but enjoys a spot of fishing and assisting with the St. John cadets.

....Dawson Squire and Valerie Goodall, who are manager and shop assistant of Te Rau Press's Gladstone Road shop. Dawson, married with one daughter, lives at 779 Gladstone Road. He was educated at the Boys' High, and is a keen tennis and badminton player. Valerie lives at 28 Rua Street, and was educated at the Girls High. Her interests include dressmaking, reading, and music.

....Harry Macdonald is engineer for the Gisborne Lightering and Stevedoring Company. Born and bred in Gisborne, Harry lives with his wife at 12 Rutene Road. His interests include boats, photography, and Highland band music.

....Paul Hiki, joint proprietor of the Elgin Foodmarket, resides at 19 Kowhai Street with his wife and three children. Educated at St. Pat's Silver-stream College, he follows rugby and surfing.

....Don McLennan, is loader supervisor for N.A.C. at Darton Field. The father of four children, he lives at 8 Haig Street, and is a member of the Aero Club and the Old Boys' Rugby Club.
