New Access to Station

The new 225ft bridge over the Mangatu river, giving all-weather access to Omapere Station, was opened recently with due ceremony.

Situated some three miles from Whatatutu, the new bridge was officially declared open and the ribbon cut by Mrs Campbell, wife of Omapere Station manager, Don Campbell.

The celebrations which followed included a hangi dinner and entertainment for the 300 guests of the Mangatu Blocks who attended the function.
