Know Your District

The hill on the skyline of the picture at left overlooks the city from beyond Whataupoko. It is the highest in the immediate vicinity of the city. What is its name, and how high is it? If you are the first person to call at our office with the correct answers to these two questions, you will win a free six-month subscription to "Photo News .

The answer to last month's questions were: The monument was erected to the members of the staff of the Gisborne Sheepfarmers Refrigerating Company who died or were found willing to die for the Empire in the First World War. It was erected in January, 1923, by their surviving comrades.
