Here 'N' There

From Mrs Georgina Matenga, Whatatutu, come these pictures taken at the shearing school held at Waikatea station, Rua-katuri, and conducted for young farmers and shearing gangs by Ivan Bowen.

Three of the members of the school who added to their ability as shearers from the instruction received are Dave Tuapawa (above centre), Henare Matenga (above right), and at right, Tunis Matenga.

To demonstrate his skill as a shearer, Ivan Bowen fleeced this sheep of its wool while he was blindfolded.
