Picnic Races

A good day's racing and some large dividends were seen at the fifth annual race meeting conducted by the Waikohu Picnic Racing Club.

Held on a straight course at Puha-tikotiko station, Puha, most events attracted big entries, the largest a field of 22 in the Taxi Handicap.

Winner of the feature event, the Gaukrodger Cup, is Neville Wagner with his mount, Selwyn.

Wally Moore is the clerk of the course.
