Comings & Goings

Ray and Madge Johnson, of 54 Ballance Street, are off soon on a working tour of the South Island.

Prominent in the archery world for the past ten years, they are pictured with some of the trophies they won last year.

They have each been indoor and outdoor champions, and were the East Coast champions of 1966.

"Hello there! I'm Simon Parkinson and this is Mike and June, my Dad and Mum.

"We're all going up to Auckland where big Daddy is going to be a big time pirate announcer with Radio Hauraki.

"We've spent, the last year in Gisborne with 2ZG (at least Mum and Dad have - I haven't been here quite that long) and now we're off for a taste of the big smoke, rum and pieces of eight. Hooray!"

Going to Kaitaia.on transfer is Ken Karaka with his wife Rae and baby daughter Elizabeth. Ken is clerking with the N.Z.R. Road Services.

The family lived at 362 Clifford Street and left on the 20th for their new home.

After four years as manager and matron of the Memorial Home in Upper Ormond Road, Stan and Margaret Riley with son and daughter, David and Susan, are off to Christchurch.

They are taking over their own private medical and convalescent hospital, the St. Winifred.

Young David was on the cover of the "Photo News" of May, 1957, as a Plunket baby.
