Waikanae The Winners

Over 300 competitors took part in the Northern Regional Surf Live Saving Championships held at Midway, and the Waikanae Club took top honours by winning the senior six and four man R and R events.

They were also the winners of the aggregate with an advantage of seven points.

Midway showed undisclosed form by finishing well ahead of some of the more favoured entrants.
