Elgin Shops' Gala Day

Favoured with one of the month's really decent days the Elgin shops' gala day was a roaring success.

Shop owners and their staff put on fancy dress for the occasion and a lolly scramble, free ice-blocks and a merry-go-round ensured a good time for all.

Having fun and enjoying some of the free ice-blocks are Kevin Grant, Lawrence Holmes, Donna and Phillipa Gordon in front, an out-of-town visitor, Stephen Davis, a country visitor, and Alan Robinson in the centre, and Michael Berryman, Dianne Newton and Karen Robinson at the back. Also in the picture are the disher-outers Peter McFadyen and Paul Hickey.
