Miss Patricia Mill, of Stout Street, who resigned recently from the literary staff of the Gisborne Herald, and has joined the staff of the Sydney Daily Telegraph. Miss Mill, who travelled over in the Wanganella, had a rough passage. She struck the trip on which the Wanganella ran into severe storms and several seamen were injured.

Miss Jean Angus, of Gisborne, who with Miss N. L. Haywood, has been admitted to the New Zealand Society of Accountants as Associated Registered Accountants (A.R.A.N.Z.). Within the past four years, four Gisborne women have been admitted to membership.

Mr Brian Halstead, son of Mr and Mrs E. Z. M. Halstead, Centennial Crescent, a member of the staff of the Commercial Bank, who has been transferred to Rotorua. One of the town's promising young golfers, he won the Summer Cup at the P.B. links this year.
