Barry Preston, who left Christchurch by air today with the New Zealand Rugby Colts team to tour Ceylon. The team will also play some matches in Australia. Barry, one of Gisborne's most promising young players, is a member of the H.S.O.B. club. Early photograph shows Barry, seated, right, as a "young 'un" with some of the "big boys" for whom he often acted as ball boy. In back row are Brian Fitzpatrick (now an All Black) and his brothers "Husky" and Bob Preston. Front row boys are Neil" Adcroft, Peter Blair (who was an All Black trialist), and Colin Watson. With Barry on the ground is Eric Mulrooney.
