A recent graduate of Victoria University is W.E. (Bill) Rimmer who has obtained his B.Sc. An ex-pupil of Gisborne Boys' High, Bill is the youngest son of the headmaster of the Tolaga Bay School, Mr H. T. Rimmer, and Mrs Rimmer.

From Levin came this pic of Rose Jackson, who is a provincial winner in the Jaycee sponsored better-driving contest. Rose was born and lived in Gisborne until two years ago, being an ex-pupil of Lytton High. Now in Levin she is a Horowhenua hockey rep and will take up a nursing career after the finals of the contest.

Bruce Donnelly, only son of Mr and Mrs E. V. Donnelly, 78 Ormond Road, recently received his commission as Pilot-Officer at Wigram. An old boy of Gisborne Boys' High School, and formerly active in Aero Club circles, Bruce has been posted to the Ohakea 75 Squadron.

Mr and Mrs Mani Collier, Makaraka, have every reason to be proud of their son Tommy. On a successful foray to Rotorua, he won the 6-stone-class boxing championship. A member of the Railways Gym, Tommy is shown with his trainer, Bill Thornton.

Rehearsals for the 1966 production of the Gisborne Amateur Operatic Society's musical comedy "Call Me Madam" are well under way. Marjorie Marshall from Christchurch, who is producing the show, will also play the lead, replacing Niomi Hudson, who was originally chosen for the role of Sally Adams. Cosmo Constantine, the male lead, will be played by Bob Moles.
