Mr R. Howe, retiring pipe-major and secretary of the Gisborne Highland Pipe Bank since its inception, who was elected a life member recently as a mark of appreciation.

Mr F. McBreen, was elected a life member of the Competitions Society recently in recognition of his 20 years' service to the society.
