Inspiring Ballet

Inspiring performances by New Zealand dancers, who were by no means overshadowed by a glittering trio of guest artists, were the feature of the N.Z. Ballet Company's presentation in the Opera House last month.

Highlight of the programme was the performance of Act II of Swan Lake, with the overseas husband and wife pair, Marilyn Burr and Jean-Paul Comelin, dancing the principal parts.

Former Gisborne boy Terry Westmoreland thrilled the audience with his spectacular solo, "Dance of the Kurds".
