Scouts' Field Day

Ten patrols from the Tainui, Waiteata, Mangapapa, and Rangatira (Te Karaka) Scout troops, which make up the newly-formed Turanga District, took part in their first annual field day competition, at Te Karaka.

The competition comprised ten different events, from crossing obstacles on rope bridges, to blowing lids off sealed cans of water over a field oven.

A patrol from the home troop of Rangatira emerged the winners, and claimed the handsome trophy.
