Gisborne crayfisherman Mr Ian Kerr recently took delivery of a new vessel, the 31 ft Corsair, which was formerly a big-game fishing launch in Auckland. Mr Kerr intends to exploit the game fishing market in Gisborne during the season, normally about January to February, and use the boat for crayfishing for the rest of the year.

Three Gisborne members of A.T.C. recently attended a one-day course in gliding at the Wairarapa-Ruahine Aero Club, in Masterton. Organised by the Central Military District, the course was designed to give the boys additional aviation experience. The boys are pictured doing cockpit drill prior to making a flight. They are Sgt. Paddy Callaghan (left), Cpl Glenn Attewell (bottom left), and Cdt Tom Wanoa (below), pictured with instructor Mr Ted Ashwell. (Pictures by Flying Officer Bruce Wotherspoon).
