Wool Board Contest

Six finalists in the Gisborne section of the New Zealand Wool Board's "Design, Make, and Model" contest, for members of country girls' clubs, were judged at a function in Lows' Tearooms.

The judge, Mrs Pat Stewart, with assistance from Mrs Daphne Blennerhassett, selected Margaret Coupe, an 18-year-old member of the Gisborne C.G.C., as winner of the contest, with Sally Von Pein, second, and Frances Liddell and Susan Hulme equal third.

Miss Coupe will travel to Blenheim to take part in the national finals later this month.
