Highly Successful Doll Show

Greater Gisborne's doll show, which ran for six days in Adairs during the school holidays, was visited by more than 7000 people, making it an outstanding success.

The show, which was organised by Greater Gisborne lady executives Mrs J. Coates and Miss D. Ritchie, with assistance from a large band of willing workers, attracted 500 entries, many of which came from outside the district.

Biggest local contributor was Mrs A. Single, who gained 24 plac-ings from her 85 entries.
