American Field Service scholar, Nancy Paulson, of Brainerd, Minnesota, U.S.A., who is at present attending Gisborne Girls' High School, recently presented the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, with a key and an accompanying note from the Mayor of her city. The ceremony took place on the steps of the council chambers, and was attended by former A.F.S. scholar Sandra Whitaker, who was visiting her N.Z. "mother", Mrs R. The Knox Church Afternoon Fellowship recently treated five over 80-year-old members of the parish to a social afternoon at the home of their secretary, Mrs E. J. Knox, 23 Walsh Street. The guests of honour were all presented with a box of flowers, a posy, and a small gift. They are, from left, seated: Mesdames A. Wykes, J. Currie, A. Skillen, A. L. Ritchie, and E. F. Cook.
